Before you Travel
Banned States (Domestic)
In accordance with , state funds cannot be used to travel to states with discrimatory laws.
For all out-of-state domestic travel, please check the list of to determine whether you can pay for the trip with state funds (e.g. Operating Fund, 70000).
We will allow departments to use state funds if there is an . Please indicate which exception applies when you submit the travel authorization.
High Hazard Travel (International)
For all international travel, please check and the to determine whether your destination is considered "high hazard."
If traveling to a high hazard country:
- Complete the and submit it to the Chancellor's Office. Include a copy with your travel authorization request.
- Submit your travel authorization request [pdf] well in advance; the travel authorization must arrive at the President's Office at least 45 days before the department date. This will give 2 weeks to obtain President's Office approval and Chancellors Office approval. This will also allow time for the university to procure international travel insurance.
