Grants, scholarships, and fee waivers are available specifically for students like you. Let us help you find ways to help pay for college.

Study space and social lounge

Besides ready access to helpful supplies like testing material, hygiene items, snacks and free printing, you can find community with other scholars and our staff.

Guidance during your college journey

Take advantage of coaching meant to help you develop skills and succeed not just while you're here at 91ÁÔÆæ, but wherever your degree ends up taking you.

Mission and Vision

The Guardian Scholars Program at San Josè State University exists to support students who experienced foster care and non-traditional living environments. We aim to provide person-centered guidance and holistic programming for the students’ academic goals, professional development, and lifelong learning. Our vision is that every 91ÁÔÆæ Guardian Scholar will achieve their desired level of success and Transform the Story of educational outcomes for foster youth through access to support services, connection to resources and engagement with the GSP Community.
