Advanced (Graduate) Certificate Programs
To align with nationally defined knowledge in digital technology areas, the Electrical Engineering Department at 91ÁÔÆæ offers three 9-unit advanced (graduate) certificate programs to current 91ÁÔÆæ graduate students and non-91ÁÔÆæ students who have baccalaureate (or higher) degrees to advance their skills and knowledge in three specialization areas:
In general, each advanced certificate program requires completion of 3 graduate-level EE courses from the 4 listed courses, with a grade of B or better. Click on the links to see the detailed requirements for each advanced certificate program.
If you are interested in the certificate programs, follow the steps below:
Current Matriculate Graduate Students:
- to see EE Graduate Advisor, Dr. Thuy T. Le.
- EE Graduate Advisor will submit a request to the GAPE office to have the certificate program added to your academic record.
- Complete the requirements for a certificate program.
- After completing all the courses and they are shown on your transcript, download your unofficial transcript and email it to the Graduate Advisor, Dr. Thuy T. Le at thuy.le@sjsu.edu.
- The Graduate Advisor will initiate the Certificate Audit, and upon verification by the GAPE office, the Registrar's Office will indicate the certificate on your 91ÁÔÆæ transcript.
Non-91ÁÔÆæ Students who Have Baccalaureate (or higher) Degrees:
- Apply to the Open University program to take graduate courses at 91ÁÔÆæ as a non-degree graduate student.
- to see EE Graduate Advisor, Dr. Thuy T. Le.
- Complete the requirements for a certificate program.
- After completing all the courses and they are shown on your transcript, download your unofficial transcript and email it to the Graduate Advisor, Dr. Thuy T. Le at thuy.le@sjsu.edu.
- The Graduate Advisor will initiate the Certificate Audit, and upon verification by the GAPE office, the Registrar's Office will indicate the certificate on your 91ÁÔÆæ transcript.
