Accessible Technology Initiative
The CSU Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) is the effort by the California State University (CSU) system to ensure that information and communication technology (ICT) is accessible to all students, faculty, staff, and the wider community. ICT includes websites, computer software and hardware, and multimedia such as video.
The ATI focuses on these three priorities:
- Instructional materials: Access to instructional documents and media.
- Procurement: Access to electronic and information technology purchases.
- Website: Access to the web.

Document Accessibility Guidance
: This resource provides guidance on remediating PDFs using Adobe Acrobat. However, it is best practice to remediate the original document (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Google Doc) because their accessibility features are much easier to use.

You’ll find resources on Universal Design for Learning, Adobe Acrobat, Canvas, Google Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, TidyUp and UDOIT. Use this self-paced course as a resource or complete it to earn a badge! Consider to create a more inclusive learning experience for our diverse student population!
: This course reviews accessibility best practices in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. It is provided by the CSU Office of the Chancellor and is available to all faculty and staff as well as student assistants who are connected with document remediation.
Canvas Accessibility Training
