Bio
Dr. Danielle Lazerson is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance at San José State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Louisiana State University, an MBA (Finance), and a B.S. in Accounting and International Business from Chapman University.
Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., Dr. Lazerson worked as an auditor for Ernst & Young (EY), where she conducted financial statement audits for public and private companies and gained experience in financial reporting, internal controls, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
Dr. Lazerson’s areas of research include auditing and financial reporting. She teaches Intermediate Accounting (undergraduate) and Financial Reporting & Analysis (graduate). With experience in both professional practice and academia, she is committed to fostering student success and preparing future accounting and business leaders.
