We know that time, cost and results are important factors, so we've designed our 91ÁÔÆæ Online and Professional Education programs so that you can receive a quality education at an affordable cost and advance your career outcomes.

  • For the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 terms, our @ 2024 91ÁÔÆæ and Professional Education undergraduate programs cost $525-$575 per unit.

  • Programs typically require 50-60 units to complete and students typically enroll in 3-16 units per term depending on the program.

  • Financial aid opportunities and installment payment plans are available in most situations.

Graduate Programs

Enrolling in your @ 2024 91ÁÔÆæ and Professional Education program provides you with a host of benefits to maximize your experience, including:

  • Regular academic advising and student support from our Student Success Center for undergraduate students.

  • Access to helpful campus resources such as the 91ÁÔÆæ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, Career Center, and Writing Center.

  • Opportunities to participate in open-access activities such as 91ÁÔÆæ events and student organizations.

  • Subscriptions to professional development tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and LinkedIn Learning.

  • An 91ÁÔÆæ ID card to utilize for student discounts.

The cost to submit your application through the Cal State Apply portal is $70. For the majority of our programs, there are no other fees to enroll in @ 2024 91ÁÔÆæ and Professional Education aside from the cost per unit fees. Some select programs may require an enrollment deposit. Students also may incur costs for items such as course materials, lab fees, or transportation to and from an internship site.

For undergraduates only: Undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for an based on the information requested in the application.

  • Accepted methods of payment: The 91ÁÔÆæ Bursar’s Office accepts several forms of online and in-person payment methods.

  • Electronic refunds and direct deposit: Register for direct deposit so that you can receive any refunds up to 7 days faster than a paper check.

For undergraduate students: You will receive information about paying your fees and signing up for an Installment Payment Plan by email after you have been fully matriculated and after new student registration begins.

For graduate students: Contact the 91ÁÔÆæ Bursar's Office via email at student-finance-specialists@sjsu.edu or by phone at 408-924-1601 and to discuss payment plan options with an Account Specialist.

Refunds for Undergraduate Programs

If you withdraw from one or more courses after the deadline to add or drop courses, you will be refunded a pro-rated amount based on the day that you drop.

  • 1 day after the deadline: 75% of fees will be refunded.

  • 2 days after deadline: 50% of fees will be refunded.

  • 3 days after deadline: 25% of fees will be refunded.

  • 4 or more days after deadline: 0% of fees will be refunded.

Refunds for Out-of-State Students

If you reside outside of the State of California, visit the to review your respective state's disclosure and policies.

Refunds for Graduate Programs

Day 1 is the first day of instruction of the class.  If you drop a class, calculate the number of days from the first day of instruction, including weekends and holidays.

For classes that run 8 or more weeks:

  • Class officially dropped by the 5th calendar day: 100% refund

  • On the 6th day: 75% refund

  • On the 7th day: 50% refund

  • On the 8th day: 25% refund

  • Starting the 9th day: 0% refund

For classes that are less than 8 weeks or for the Nursing Certificate Program:

  • Calculate the number of days from the start of instruction date to the end date to find the date when 10% of the course has passed.

  • Class officially dropped before the start date: 100% refund

  • Drop after course has started but before 10% of course has passed: 75% refund

  • Drop after 10% of course has passed: 0% refund

Refunds for Out-of-State Students

Refunds can vary based on the time you drop your course. See calendar for drop deadlines. Sign up for Direct Deposit (eRefund) to avoid the processing fee. Refunds are not processed during the add/drop period.

Undergraduate Funding Opportunities

91ÁÔÆæ student receiving scholarship

  • : You are eligible to apply for Federal Student Aid and to qualify for Federal Pell Grants. Complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) application as soon as you can to provide enough time for processing prior to your first term.

  • : Students who receive Federal Work-Study can apply for eligible positions through the 91ÁÔÆæ Handshake portal, which hosts job and internship opportunities for students and alumni.

  • : Students who complete the FAFSA application and meet certain eligibility requirements can also apply for various California Student Aid Commission grant awards. If you are awarded a Cal Grant, you must be enrolled in at least 6 units in order to receive it.

  • 91ÁÔÆæ Scholarships: Each spring, students can apply online for university-wide and college scholarships through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office for the upcoming academic year.

  • 91ÁÔÆæ Veterans Resource Center: If you are a military-connected individual, please contact the 91ÁÔÆæ Veterans Resource Center to discuss your benefits and eligibility for special session programs.

  • : Current @ 2024 91ÁÔÆæ and Professional Education students can apply for paid student ambassador positions each term to provide current and potential students with valuable insights, resources, and experiences.

  • : Through our partnership, current Amazon employees can visit the Amazon Career Choice website for details about how to utilize that benefit to apply for enrollment at 91ÁÔÆæ.

  • Graduate Equity Fellowship: This program seeks to encourage and assist economically disadvantaged students in the pursuit and completion of their master’s degree programs.

  • Research Funding Opportunities: The 91ÁÔÆæ Office of Research, Center for Faculty Development, Research Foundation, and Tower Foundation offer a variety of programs and resources designed to assist students in their research interests.
