String Project

Fall 2025 — Spring 2026

The String Project provides group violin classes to elementary and middle school students, while offering a hands-on, supervised teaching experience to 91ÁÔÆæ Music Education majors.

Classes start early October on Monday and Wednesday 4-5pm in the music building at 91ÁÔÆæ.

We are charging a small tuition fee on a sliding scale of $100/semester per student. Additionally, there is a modest rental fee of $50 per semester to use the instruments of 91ÁÔÆæ.

DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME

The String Project receives very limited support from the University. The School of Music is committed to further our long-standing practice of active social justice through music-making and engaging our community via the String Project.  Please note that your gift is intended for the 91ÁÔÆæ String Program on the DONATION page
